On January 17, 2010 I took a break from football to photograph the runway show at the Rochester’s Best Bridal Exhibit. It was an opportunity to shoot runway fashion and test drive my new Nikon SB900 flash. The new flash is more powerful than the Nikon SB800 and has a rapid recycle time but tends to overheat when shooting long shots. When the warning ikon comes on the flash stops until it cools down. This can be very frustrating because important pictures can be missed. I think this over heating is due to the reflector I am using. More experimenting is needed. Complaints aside, I did get some great shots during a slow time in the photographic year.
